This week has been a bit of a Groundhhog Week given that I have been in the same places and situations more than once.
My visit to the hospital on Monday had to be followed up with a visit on Wednesday and Friday. The patch test had to be applied on Monday removed Wednesday and consultant visit with results on Friday.
Having to work full time this week the boss has kindly made available to me a lift to hospital there and back. Wednesday removing the patches I knew something had reacted as my back itched like mad in a few places. I was really intrigued as to what was causing a reaction. No bath allowed until Friday pissed me off but having waited so long for this test I didn't want to jeopardise the results.
Thursday morning on the way to work I turned the radio down as something
,t sound quite right, it was my front tyre and it was flat. I pulled into a hotel and phoned the RAC, hello again, must say this week my membership paid off. It wasn't straight forward, it never is with me. The tyre was knackered, my spare was flat so we had to drive to a tyre place to get it replaced. I just wanted to get to work.
Friday came and at last I would get some answers regarding the ear infections that have plagued my life for the last year. It seems I am allergic to three things, lanolin, rubber (that dress is long gone) and lots of stuff that are in medication they have been giving me to treat my ear infections. I was prescribed treatments that are devoid of the cause of an allergic reaction and sent home to do bit of investigating.
After only two days of using treatment I have normal ears. The investigating showed lanolin is in so many products so I have had a cull, my product whore buys are now restricted to lanolin free products. Thankfully my Liz Earle is safe. Reading ingredients in products is,nt. easy without a magnifying glass. T is over the moon as lots of stuff has been passed her way.
I must say having this problem has governed so much for me over the last year. It has been difficult to hear so I crowded places proved a problem,I have always tucked my hair behind my ears but never since last year, always making sure my ears were covered. Earrings I have always worn but not much of late. It may sound vain and silly but it has had a huge affect on hairstyle choices and where I would go.
Hurrah I look at my ears today and they look normal. I will tuck my hair behind my ears whilst being vigilant on the ingredients on all labels.

What a relief! Hope the allergy stays away. Thank goodness for the RAC - again :-)
